Blue Hills will hold a dedication ceremony and open house for its newly completed Fire Station Number 3 at 779 Blue Hills Avenue on February 5th at 2pm.
Retired Fire Chief Arthur Gold and Retired Chief John Mahaney will carry out the honors of uncoupling lengths of hose followed by the traditional “push-in” of the apparatus.
The new station, just over 7,000 square feet, sits on the same site as the former station built in 1933. The new facility features two drive-through bays, vehicle exhaust system, emergency generator, enhanced living quarters, and is handicap accessible.
